SECTION 000200 – NOTICE TO BIDDERS

A. The Lyons School District #103 (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for the Summer 2025 Pavement Repairs project until 1:30 PM., local time, on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 at the Main Administration Office at 4100 Joliet Avenue, Lyons, IL 60534.

B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time noted above.

C. Digital Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from the Architect of Record, Cordogan Clark & Associates. Contact: Nick Wesley, nwesley@cordoganclark.com on or after 9am, Wednesday, June 18th, 2025. Contractor shall send an email with their company name, trade, and representative contact information to receive a link for the digital download of the documents. All printing will be the responsibility of the Contractor.

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a) Bid Bond or b) Certified Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A RECOMMENDED pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 A.M., local time, on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at the Main Administration Office at 4100 Joliet Avenue, Lyons, IL 60534. All bidders must visit the site prior to bid submittal.

F. All bidders are required to visit the site. If a bidder cannot attend the pre-bid conference they will need to schedule a visit with Daniel Trapp, Building Engineering, prior to the bid submittal date.

G. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with β€œAn Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

H. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, or accept the bid that, in his opinion, will serve his best interests.
