NOTICE TO BIDDERS
A. Sustainability Partners, LLC for East Aurora School District (Owner) will receive bids for the
following projects until 2:00 P.M., local time, on September 30, 2019 at the District Office of
East Aurora School District #131, 417 S. Fifth Street, Aurora, IL 60506:
Base Bid #1 -Project #19334 –Dieterich Mechanical Improvements
Base Bid #2 -Project #19333 –Johnson Mechanical Improvements
B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time and location noted above.
C. A public advertisement was posted on September 9, 2019.
D. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from Vesco Reprographics
630-896-2115 or http://www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com, on or after, September 9, 2019.
E. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of
10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.
F. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the following specified location on
September 12, 2019 at 3:30 pm;
Project #19333 – Johnson Elementary School, 1934 Liberty Street., Aurora, IL
60502.
G. Pre-bid walk-throughs will be held at the following specified locations immediately following
the pre-bid conference;
Project #19333 – Johnson Elementary School, 1934 Liberty Street., Aurora, IL
60502.
Project #19334 – Dieterich Elementary School, 1141 Jackson Street., Aurora, IL
60502.
H. The meeting will start promptly at Johnson’s main entrance. The project sites are available
for inspection on a limited basis after the pre-bid meeting. For site access after the pre-bid
meeting, contact Mark Spangler 630.746.7210.
I. All bidders are required to visit all of the sites. All contractors shall visit the sites and become
familiar with all existing conditions prior to submitting the final bid. If there are any
discrepancies, notify the architect at once. The project sites are available for inspection on a
limited basis after the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
J. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as
established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this
Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other
employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.
K. The Owner/SP reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in
bidding, or accept the bid that, in his opinion, will serve his best interests.
L. This Notice is written in the name of the Owner/SP by Cordogan, Clark & Associates.
