NOTICE TO BIDDERS Coal City CUSD#1
(hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for the following bid packages for the Intermediate School Renovation project until 2:00 pm, local time, on April 16, 2019 at the Administrative Building, 550 S. Carbon Hill Rd., Coal City, IL 60416-9526. • Bid Package #1 – Door Hardware • Bid Package #2 – Windows
A. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time noted above.
B. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from the Office of the Architect/Construction Manager – Cordogan Clark, 630-896-4678 or email@example.com, on or after April 1, 2019.
C. Bid Package documents, drawings, and specifications shall be distributed electronically. Bidders may also contact the following reprographic provider to obtain the bid documents. Printing and shipping costs shall be the responsibility of the bidder: www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com
D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.
E. A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm on April 9, 2019, at the Intermediate School 305 E Division St, Coal City, IL 60416. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend the conference.
F. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.
G. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept the bid that is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, which is in the best interests of the School District.H.
