A. East Aurora School District #131 (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for
the WALDO MIDDLE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS Project until 2:00 P.M, local time, on
March 13, 2018 at the District Office of East Aurora School District #131, 417 S. Fifth Street,
Aurora, IL 60506:

B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time noted above.

C. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from the Office of the
Architect – Cordogan Clark & Associates, Inc., 630-896-4678, on or after February 21, 2018.

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of
10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on February 26, 2018, at 3:30 P.M. local time at
the main entrance of Waldo Middle School, 56 Jackson Street., Aurora, IL. Attendance is
required.

F. All bidders are required to visit the site. The project sites are available for inspection on a
limited basis after the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

G. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as
established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this
Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other
employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

H. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bidding,
or accept the bid that, in his opinion, will serve his best interests.
