RiverEdge Park Phase II - Backstage Building Early Release Packet

R.C. Wegman Construction Company requests bid proposals on behalf of the City of Aurora for the construction of a 10,000 SF two-story Backstage Building, located at RiverEdge Park: 398 N Broadway, Aurora, IL 60506.

The RiverEdge Park Phase II project features the construction of (4) new structures total: 1) Backstage Building, 2) Beverage Pavilion with VIP Deck, 3) Restroom Building, and 4) South Gate. In this Early Release Bid Packet, only (7) Bid Packages are being bid, and they are covering early construction activities on the Backstage Building ONLY. Once the remainder of the design is available in September, the remainder of the Backstage Building and ALL construction of the remaining (3) structures will be competitively bid per Bid Packages. 

RiverEdge Park will host Christkindlmarket Aurora inside the park this November and December 2024. We are not able to get inside the park to start on the (3) new structures located inside the park: (Beverage Pavilion, Restroom Building, South Gate) because of Christkindlmarket. We do, however, have access to the backstage area of the park to start construction on the Backstage Building, starting in September 2024. All (4) structures, plus the associated site work, is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2025.
