22-1071 Kendall County Building BG#1 Annex Demolition

A. Kendall County, Illinois (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive a prime contract
bid for the following project until 2:30 pm, local time, on April 5, 2023 at the
Administrative Services Office, 111 W. Fox Street, Room 316, Yorkville, IL 60560.

BG #1 – ANNEX DEMOLITION
B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:45 pm at the Kendall County 2nd Floor County
Board Room.
C. Bid Package documents, drawings, and specifications shall be available on or after March 14,
2023. Bidders may visit the following websites to obtain the bid documents. Printing and
shipping costs shall be the responsibility of the bidder:

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of
10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.
E. A pre-bid meeting will be on March 21, 2023 at 9:00 am at the Kendall County Annex
Building located at 105 W. Fox Street, Yorkville, IL 60560. Bidders are highly encouraged to
attend the meeting.
F. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as
established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this
Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other
employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.
G. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding,
and to accept the bid that is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, which is in the best
interests of the county.
