Wheatlands Park Improvements

Sealed bid proposals for the site improvements at Wheatlands Park district in Aurora, IL, shall be recieved at the Cole Center 101 W. Illinois Avenue., Aurora, IL 60506 until Friday, Februray 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. (local time) where all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Bids must be recieved in a sealed envelope addressed with the name of the Bidder, Owner, Project name, and state and time of the Bid.

The scope of the work includes , but is not limited to, erosion control, grading, drainage, underground utility installation including storm sewers, underdrains and water service. The work also includes curb removal and replacement, asphalt and concrete paving, plumbing and electric service installation for a splash pad drains, seeding and restoration. The work also includes water service with backflow prevention to one water fountain and the installation of two park benches.

Bid documents will be available beginning Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Vesco Reprographic, located at 1351 Aucutt Road, Montomery, IL, 60538 beginning 10:00 a.m. Phone (630)-896-2115, www.vescoplanroom.com. Plans are available digitally to view or download. If the contractor prefers a printed plan set and project manual, then a non-refundable fee of $50.00 will be charged per set. All addenda and associated Bid Documents shall be issued through the Vesco Plan Room. The Fox Valley Park District shall not be responsible for information recieved or not recieved through any other source.

Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. Following the award of the contract, the successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor, and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance.

All contracts for work herien are subject to all District rules and regulations and are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (812 ILCS 130/1-12).

All bids will remain firm for sixty (60) days after the bidopening. Fox Valley Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive bid formalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the District.
