The Board of Education for the Aurora East School District # 131 (the “School District”) will receive sealed BIDs for 18414 East Aurora School District #131 Administration Center Audio/Video Bid described in attached specifications described herein and subject to the conditions hereinafter stipulated until 10:00 A.M. CST, Friday, April 17, 2020 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud at the McKnight Student Service Center, 417 Fifth Street, Aurora, IL 60505. BIDS SENT BY FACSIMILE OR EMAIL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Board of Education does not accept or assume the responsibility for delayed postal deliveries and does not recognize postmarks as representing the fact that a proposal has been received by The School District before the deadline. Bids received after the time specified in this BID Invitation will not be considered.

All hand delivered bid submissions are to be delivered to the East Aurora School District Buildings and Grounds office, 411 Hill Ave Aurora IL. on weekdays between the hours of 8am -1pm. On the day of the bid opening, April 17th, bids shall be submitted at the Student Service Center at 417 Fifth St, Aurora, IL 60505 from 8:00 am until 10:00am.
District #131 has adopted CDC recommended guidelines for social distancing at the time of the bid opening (refer to the attached ‘Contractors/Sub-Contractors Safety Protocol’ document). Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Student Service Center, 417 Fifth St., Aurora, IL 60505 at the time listed above. Space will be limited due to the Governor’s Executive Order limiting gatherings to 10 persons. Bidding contractors will be limited to one individual per company allowed for fair access to the opening. Electronic post Bid interviews with the apparent lowest and second lowest bidders will be scheduled following the opening. A conference call number will be upon scheduling of the interview. Please provide a clearly printed Contact name, email address and phone number on the form of proposal.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part or to accept that which is in the best interest of the School District. The award of a Contract shall be based on the amount of the bid, experience, reputation, and the financial stability of the Contractor as well as strict compliance with the format, terms and conditions of this proposal. A contract will be awarded only after a formal notice is given to a vendor as determined by the Board of Education. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all formalities.
