NOTICE TO BIDDERS
A. East Aurora School District (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive bids for the following project until 2:00 P.M., local time, on January 28, 2020 at 417 Fifth Street, Aurora, IL 60505 Project #19369 – 2020 MASONRY REPAIRS – BRADY, BEAUPRE & GATES ELEMENTARY, EAST AURORA HIGH SCHOOL
B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time and location noted above.
C. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from the Office of the Construction Manager – Cordogan Clark & Associates, Inc., 630-896-4678 or firstname.lastname@example.org, on or after, January 14, 2020. Plans are posted on our plan room at https://www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com/jobs/public Bidders may also contact Vesco Reprographics, 630-896-2115, to obtain the bid documents.
D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.
E. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the following specified location on January 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm; Gates Elementary School, 800 7th Ave., Aurora, IL 60505.
F. Pre-bid walk-throughs will be held at the schools immediately following the pre-bid conference.
G. The meeting will start promptly at Gate’s main entrance. The project sites are available for inspection on a limited basis after the pre-bid meeting. For site access after the pre-bid meeting, contact Mark Spangler 630.746.7210.
H. All bidders are required to visit all of the sites and become familiar with all existing conditions prior to submitting the final bid. If there are any discrepancies, notify the architect at once. The project sites are available for inspection on a limited basis after the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
I. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.
